CASART Member Expectations
ADMINISTRATIVE & FIELD MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO:
Attend as many or at least two (2) of the scheduled "Basic"
training classes, either as a student or coach, each year.
Participate in at least one (1) Mock Search & Rescue Drill each
year.
Actively support the mission of CASART which is to provide a search
and rescue team to assist and aid New York State (NYS) Department of Environmental
Conservation (DEC) Forest Rangers in search and rescue operations by participating in as
many Active Search & Rescue missions as possible or at least one (1) each year within
CASARTs search area of responsibility - Herkimer, Hamilton and Southern St. Lawrence
Counties.
Remain current in annual dues ($10 per year)
ADMINISTRATIVE & FIELD MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO:
Attend some of the scheduled "Intermediate & Advanced"
training classes, either as a student or coach, each year.
Volunteer for & actively participate on committees.
Take on leadership roles as committee chairs or run for officer
positions on the Board of Directors.
Participate in Active Search & Rescue missions outside
CASARTs search area of responsibility in support of other member teams of the New
York State Federation of Search and Rescue (NYSFEDSAR).
