Safety tips and Classes

One of our subsidiary missions at CASART is to provide public education and outreach to  visitors to the Adirondack Park about how to enjoy the outdoors safely. The idea being that a prepared hiker is a hiker that probably won't ever be the subject of a search and rescue operation. You'd be surprised how many people decide to "take a walk in the park" with no map, compass, water, proper clothing, flashlight, etc., etc. For that reason our members routinely provide "Hiking Safely" classes and we have a small flyer we distribute with a list of our   "Hiking Safely Essentials." That list is included below.

Here is our "Hiking Safely" seminar poster, which lists who can benefit from taking the course and what it covers.

If your organization is interested in having one of our members provide a hiking safely class feel free to contact us.

Here is a link to our list of essential items to be prepared for anything on a hike in the Adirondacks.

Remember, if you get lost... We’ll be there!
